Education is a top priority. We have great public and private schools in our community. We will provide a safe, warm and loving home with a balance of what life has to offer, focusing on education, athletics and moral values.
With the start of summer comes the opening of our town pools and children only water-spray parks. The miles of sand beaches are perfect for catching a wave, collecting sea shells and practicing building sand castles. Our town holds a big summer family “Beach-Blast” with sand castle contests, ice cream eating contests and fireworks show. Our parks offer miles of bike paths, hiking and horse trails stretched around lakes filled with wildlife and nature preserves. In the Fall, we make our annual trips to the local farms to pick our apples for pie baking and search for that perfect pumpkin.
After the leaves fall, you can feel the excitement of the Christmas season. We never miss the annual tree lighting in the park, it puts a smile on our face everytime! Robs always ready to go out and pick up a fresh cut christmas tree. Maria and her sister get together to make their tradional Christmas cookies to share with family, friends and co-workers.
We look forward to the opportunity to share in the joy of building a snowman on our front lawn, fully dressed with carrot and hat. Then warming up next to the fireplace and drink hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows and whipped cream hoping that school is closed tomorrow so we can do it all over again the next day.
While it is still cold outside, in the early Spring we start planning our outside Summer garden. We start by setting up our seed-trays and planting seeds indoors, counting the days until we can go outside and begin planting.
As a balance to the nature that surrounds us, live an hour away from the bright lights of Manhattan. We love to take day trips to New York City and explore the world’s greatest art and science museums, theaters, gardens and zoos. There is always something exciting and fun to experience! We celebrate New York City’s cultural diversity by attending the many street festivals, music concerts and parades throughout the year!
