I know Rob is going to be an amazing father. Robert’s optimistic outlook on life brings out the best in me and in others around him. His smile lights up any room. I admire how Robert stands up to challenges head on. His determination makes what seems to impossible, to be possible.
Robert has a spontaneous and adventurous spirit that can make an ordinary day into a special moment. One Sunday morning, I was looking at our list of chores when Robert dusted off our bikes, packed a backpack and off we went on a bik0 ride adventure. We ended up at the beach, watching an amazing air show, grabbing a bite to eat and taking in the fresh air and sunshine after a long winter. Six hours and 18 miles later we were home talking about a day that became a beautiful memory.
Robert is an extremely creative soul. He is a successful and accomplished artist and musician. When we decided that we wanted to be parents, he focused on being the best dad he could be. Realizing his career as a full-time freelance artist would be too demanding of his time and attention, Rob went back to school. He graduated and began a new medical career. Robert now has the flexibility to be involved in raising and caring for a child and for me to be a stay-at-home mom.
